Once upon a time, there was a tiny little kitten that had crooked front legs. Despite this, she blossomed into a joyful feline with a huge personality. This little kitty, along with her sibling, was discovered in a horse stable. They were in bad shape, infested with fleas and caked in dirt. Luckily, Anna Dickerson-Homan, a volunteer foster carer from Michigan, stepped in to save the day upon hearing about their plight.
Anna was quick to offer her home to the little creatures without considering the details of their care. She had a feeling that she was their only hope and couldn’t wait to help them. However, upon their arrival, Anna noticed something unique about the little tabby.
The little feline had a unique appearance with her front paws bent and a stocky build, lacking a tail. Upon further investigation, it was discovered that she was born with various genetic disorders, such as Manx Syndrome, Kyphosis, a paw malformation, and neurological problems that caused her to walk awkwardly on her feet. Nevertheless, Lisa remained lively and cheerful, enjoying her playful bunny-like hops and investigating every corner of her surroundings.
Anna and Steve had the pleasure of fostering a perfectly healthy cat who simply enjoys typical feline activities such as bird-watching, string-chasing, and snuggling on laps. Their plan was to care for the kittens until they were prepared for adoption in the hopes that a family who could accommodate Lisa’s needs would become available. To improve Lisa’s mobility throughout their home, Foster Dad Steve constructed a ramp to aid her in getting on and off the couch. Despite having misaligned paws, this tabby demonstrated unstoppable agility by running, jumping, and catching feather toys with ease.
Anna shared that Lisa is a snuggly cat who always wants to be near her humans. She loves hopping onto their bed and playing “blanket hunt” with them. According to Anna, Lisa is quite assertive and thinks she’s fierce. When it comes to work, Lisa takes her role as office supervisor seriously. She loves keeping her human company by lying down beside the computer or on their lap during work hours. In fact, Lisa is so helpful that she insists on lending a paw whenever possible.
Anna and Steve put in a lot of effort to ensure that Lisa, their furry feline companion, received the best possible care and quality of life by working closely with their vets. In exchange for their love and attention, Lisa reciprocated their affection by showering them with snuggles and plenty of her signature kisses. In just a few months, Lisa has undergone significant growth and development. She has bloomed into a beautiful young cat with a larger-than-life personality. Despite her bent paws, she still has exceptional mobility and moves remarkably fast like lightning. Although Lisa may hop like a bunny and need occasional assistance, she is full of life and has many quirky andaorable traits that make her even more endearing.
The affectionate tabby cat is known for her warm and tight hugs, which she gives by wrapping her arms around her loved ones’ legs. She loves to be of help to Anna in the kitchen and often climbs on her shoulders to assist her. When she wants some entertainment, she heads towards the window to enjoy bird watching. Her most endearing quality is her love for cuddles; she’s a purr machine, and her bond with her Foster Dad is unbreakable. Initially, Anna and Steve had planned to find Lisa a new home, but the sweet tabby had already found her forever home with them. Lisa has managed to win over their hearts and become best friends with their other cats as well.
